Learn to be a DAdvocate, know the special education law and your rights and responsibilities as a father of a child with a disability. Meets for specific topics.
DAdvocates are a group of dads with children of diverse disabilities. They provide information, support, and resources to each other; and other dads who have children with disabilities.
DAdvocates meet quarterly at various locations to discuss specific topics concerning issues related to special education, government policies around disabilities, and much more.
DAdvocates are trained in leadership, advocacy, the special education laws, and a collaborative communications.
DAdvocates provide an atmosphere that is “man friendly”, non-intrusive, and very supportive.
DAdvocates is a program of Family Outreach & Support offered to DADS only.
