Notice of Public Forum
The Kentucky Council on Developmental Disabilities will be hosting forums and has invited Commissioner Hall to share the changes in the SCL Waiver and to solicit input on the Michelle P waiver. After hearing from advocates during and in between the 144 Commission meetings, it became clear to us that individuals, families and advocates have not had enough of an opportunity to offer their input on services in Kentucky. The providers and others have had opportunities to speak to the Commissioner through their state organizations and community mental health centers.
Since this has not been the case for individuals, families and advocates, the KCDD is hosting a series of public forums to:
                1. Discuss some of the changes that have been made to the SCL waiver and why.

                2. Discuss proposed changes to the Michelle P. Waiver.

The KCDD will use the information:
1. For Council planning.

2. For sharing with Medicaid (they have also been invited)

3. Influence upcoming changes to the Michelle P. Waiver.

This is the time for individuals, families and advocates to meet and share with the Commissioner. Thank you.
